Membership Instructions

  1. Review the Membership Guidelines in the next section to confirm eligibility.

  2. Fill out the Membership Application below. For institutions that choose to register multiple regionals at once: one representative from the institution will submit the payment and membership form on behalf of all of the regional representatives for that institution. Don’t forget to click the submit button before moving onto the next step!

  3. Click on the appropriate Membership Dues Tier based on the number of members you will be registering at one time, then click “add to cart”. You will see a small, black bar appear in the upper right-hand corner, click on this bar to open your cart and submit payment. For institutions that choose to register multiple regionals at once: you will need to enter all regional counselor information before payment, so make sure you have that information handy!

  4. You will receive a confirmation email with additional information about your MARCA Membership within 3-5 business days. If you have any questions, please contact MARCA’s VP for Membership (Melissa Ward) at melissa.ward@miamioh.edu.

Membership Guidelines

Our by-laws state that individuals must meet the following criteria for membership:

  1. Members must be paid admission representatives who work for a non-profit, regionally accredited, two or four year college/university. 

    a. To qualify as a member institution, the college or university must have retained non-profit status for a minimum of 5 years.

  2. Admissions must be the member’s primary profession.

  3. Members must work full-time out of their homes or at a university sponsored regional center primarily serving the Mid-Atlantic region as their recruitment territory.

  4. Members or their institutions must be members of one of the following: New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling (NJACAC), Pennsylvania Association of College Admission Counseling (PACAC), Potomac Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling (PCACAC), West Virginia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (WVACRAO), Virginia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (VACRAO), or National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).

Dues

Benefits of membership include: invitation to MARCA-only events, professional development opportunities, inclusion in the online MARCA directory, access to the MARCA Facebook page & to additional recruiting resources on the MARCA website. If paying by credit card, a 2.9% + $0.30 service fee will be added to dues. The membership cycle runs from August 1st to July 31st; membership must be renewed annually.

The membership rate is tiered, based on how many regional representatives are joining MARCA. Below are this year’s rates:

  • 1 member - $35

  • 2 members - $60

  • 3 members - $90

  • 4 members - $120

  • 5+ members - $150

If you are registering more than 6 regionals you will need to email their information to the VP for Membership at execboard@midatlanticregional.org. The form in the cart only has space for 6 regionals.

Reminder: For institutions that choose to register multiple regional counselors, one representative from the institution will submit the payment and membership form on behalf of all of the regional representatives for that institution. Please put your information in the Membership Application fields below, and click submit. Then, click on the appropriate Membership Dues Tier at the bottom of this page. In the cart, you’ll enter the information for the other regional counselors at your institution.

Membership Application

Please fill out the form below to apply for or renew your MARCA Membership. If you are registering on behalf of multiple members, please list your own information below and click SUBMIT. When you pay your dues, you will see an option to list the same information for any other regionals. Please note, you will not receive an email with your responses, but one can be forwarded if needed. Submitting Membership Dues

  1. Pay by credit card: Click on the appropriate Membership Dues link below, based on the # of members you’re registering and add the item to your cart. As a reminder, for institutions choosing to register multiple members at a time: the member submitting payment should have entered their information above and will need all of the same information for each additional member. This information will be entered after you enter your cart to submit payment. A 2.9% service fee + $0.30 will be added to dues. The price below reflects the cost of membership + fees.

  2. Pay by check: Mail check (payable to MARCA) to MARCA Treasurer c/o Matt Wilcox. Please contact Matt for more information (malaikan@uga.edu) on where to mail your check. Please be sure to include the name of your institution on the check.
